All students must complete an application, have a high school transcript or GED, SAT and/or ACT scores, test scores for any AP or CLEP to be considered and any duel credit transcripts (if taken). Optional items are letter(s) of recommendation or a campus interview/visit.

UIW takes a holistic approach to decisions using high school course difficulty, high school grade point average (GPA), class rank, test scores, leadership potential, extracurricular activities, and letters of recommendation with the final being the least important indicator.

UIW encourages all students to apply by February 1st, however applications from qualified students are reviewed on a continuous basis through the year. Applying early allows for timely processing of financial aid, course selection and orientation.

All students must complete an international application, pay a $20 application fee, submit official transcripts which must be translated into English by an official translating service if needed, submit proof of English proficiency, copy of passport and visa held for the US, and complete a student exchange information sheet if applicable.
