Community Service

All UIW students complete at least 45 hours of direct community service throughout San Antonio and across South Texas. This life-changing experience gives you a chance to improve the quality of life for others and deepen your respect for human dignity.

European Study Centers

UIW has a European Study Centers in Strasbourg, France, housed in a 250-year-old castle. All majors are welcome to apply for the program which allows students to work on a degree while experiencing French culture.

New Venture Startup Competition

The 13-week competition, with a grand prize of $10,000, provides students to develop a social innovation or business model that addresses social problems on a global scale, explores international or cross-border opportunities, or offers value and wealth creation for people living below the poverty line.

I will work to see each student graduate with the lowest possible debt, and secure a career that lifts their lives, the lives of their families, and the communities they serve.
